HOME COMING & REUNION
October 8, 2023 was a memorable day in the history of our parish. The Christian community from within and outside the parish as well as those from the nearby parishes came together to celebrate the four years of existence of our parish. The celebration was graced by the presence of the Christians living outside Masaka and in particular those that constitute the 7th outstation, St, John Mary-Kampala sub-parish. We were privileged to have the main celebrant of the Holy Mass as Msgr. George William Lubega one of the three newly appointed Monsignors of Masaka Diocese. The group from Kampala was led by Mrs. Annet N. Tumwesige their leader. Marking the 4th anniversary of our existence was the commencement of the fundraising aimed at raising over 428,000,000 Ugandan shillings ($122,286) for the construction of a multi-purpose block to accommodate the parish offices and the guest rooms. The local fundraiser was led by the Christians of St. John Mary Community-Kampala with Fr. Mathias Nteza as the coordinator of the fundraising drive. At the end of the day, 3.7% of the budget (16,000,000) was raised for the project. We invite well-wishers all over the world to cooperate with us in the fulfilment of this project.
